2025 Umpire Clinics

Want to become and umpire? Are you already an umpire and want to work Hot Stove games? Good News! Our FREE umpire clinics will be hosted for baseball and softball umpires the first 3 Sundays in March, 2025.

Clinics are open to anyone 12 years and older. Returning umpires 16 and under must attend these clinics and test. Returning umpires 17 and older are strongly encouraged to attend these clinics to assist in new umpire training, as well as learn the new rules for 2025. Coaches are also strongly encouraged to attend!

The sessions each run from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and are as follows:

Sunday, March 2, 2025 - Baseball and Softball - Rules, mechanics and other information that are common between baseball and softball.

Sunday, March 9, 2025: Baseball Only and Test Date - Baseball-specific rules, mechanics and other information are reviewed. Ohio Hot Stove Baseball Umpire Test will be administered at the end.

Sunday, March 16, 2025: Softball Only and Test Date - Softball-specific rules, mechanics and other information are reviewed. Lorain County Hot Stove Softball Umpire Test will be administered at the end.
